Bitgaram Energy Valley SW Competition 2024 with KEPCO KDN

The BITGARAM ENERGY VALLEY SW COMPETITION 2024 WITH KEPCO KDN is an innovation competition for young technology enthusiasts. This event challenges talents with advanced software projects, focusing on applying modern technologies such as AI, Cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Mobile. The competition covers various fields, including energy, industry, transportation, and healthcare. It provides an opportunity for participants to showcase their creativity, technological skills, and spirit of innovation, as well as to open up good development opportunities in the future.

This year, students from our research team, including Phạm Kim Chi, Tiên Minh Hòa, Lê Huy Bình, Nguyễn Anh Sơn, and Trần Nam Dân, along with the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Nguyễn Thị Nhật Thanh, Mr. Hoang Gia Anh Duc, and Ms. Phan Hien An formed a team named GeoiWarriors to participate in the event. The team participated with the project “Development of a Rain Forecasting System Based on Deep Learning Models.” The project proposed a solution that applies deep learning to build a short-term rain forecasting model, using rainfall data from weather radar stations. Based on the developed forecasting model, the team created a web system to visualize the forecast data and provide warnings about rainfall levels for each district in the North Central region. This solution allows users to stay updated on rainfall conditions, contributing to the management and operation of solar power systems and helping participants in traffic plan their safe travels.

After nearly two months of hard work and effort from the team members to complete the project, the team successfully reached the finals and presented their project on November 15. Below are some images from the competition.
