GISTDA Visits the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi

From September 23 to 25, 2024, GISTDA from Thailand visited the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to explore and discuss collaboration related to air pollution monitoring with Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhat Thanh. The GISTDA delegation was led by Ms. Napasorn Jongjittanon, International Relations Officer at the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), along with Ms. Kandasri Limpakom, Deputy Executive Director of GISTDA, and geoinformatics scientists Ms. Nuntikorn Kitratporn and Mr. Natdanai Punsin.

Discussion topics included estimating regional surface concentrations of air pollutants using geostationary satellites such as GEMS and Himawari, expanding the air pollution monitoring platform, and proactively monitoring public health through environmental condition assessments, such as PM2.5 exposure.
